Dept. of Bengali, Assam University, Silchar, hereby invites Research Papers from interested University/ College Teachers/Research Scholars for three days International Seminar on “Partition of Bengal, Diaspora and Rehabilitation : Quest for New World View in Literature & Culture of North-East India” to be held during March 22-24, 2012 at Assam University, Silchar.
The abstracts(within 300 words) should reach the Dept. of Bengali, Assam University, Silchar- 788 011 by 15th February, 2012.
Abstract should be accompanied by plain paper application stating Name, Official Address(With Telephone no. and e-mail id), Academic qualifications, Position where necessary. The research paper should be related to any of the following sub-themes:
Sub-Theme :
i) Partition : Pre History to History and History to Post-History.
ii) Dialectics of Memory and Amnesia.
iii) Redefining Apocalypses of Bengali Life : Loss of Space to Loss of Existence.
iv) Re-synthesizing of Cultural World View as reflected in Plays and Films.
v) Bengali Self in Total Disaway and Quest for a New Human Identity.
Papers may be prepared and presented either in English or in Bengali.
